What Cincinnati organizations are up against
Cincinnati has one of the denser parish and congregation networks in the Midwest, and much of it has spent recent years reorganizing. Parishes have been grouped into families, campuses have merged, and service times have moved more than once.
The practical result is that a person trying to work out where and when to show up frequently cannot. They land on a page built for the old arrangement, or on two competing pages for what is now one organization, with no clear statement of which campus does what. Long time members call the office to ask. Newcomers just give up.
A site that answers which campus, what time and who to call is worth more here than a site that looks impressive. Clarity is the whole job.
A site that earns the minute it gets
Which campus, what time
One clear schedule across every campus, so nobody has to guess or call the office to find out.
One organization, not three
A merged parish or congregation reads as a single body online, with each site's details where people expect them.
Mobile first, genuinely
Most people check a service time from a phone, usually the night before or the morning of.
Editable by your office
When a time moves again, the person in the office changes it that morning without calling anyone.
I work with organizations across the country from Pittsburgh. Distance has not been the hard part in a long time. Being reachable is, and that is the part I take most seriously.
What I will not take custody of
Donations belong on a platform built for donations, such as Classy, Give Lively or Raisin. They handle PCI compliance, receipting and fraud. I build the path to them and make it feel like one organization, and I stay out of the payment rail.
If you run a school or childcare program, student and family records belong in a purpose built system. If you manage client services, that data belongs in case management software with real protections. A website is the wrong place for any of it.
I would rather tell you that up front than sell you something that becomes your problem later.
Working with one person, from Pittsburgh
You are hiring one person, not an agency. I am Scott Rocca, I work out of Bridgeville just outside Pittsburgh, and I do the design, the build, the hosting and the support call myself. Nothing gets handed to a junior and nothing gets outsourced. That is the tradeoff: you will not get a 20 person team, and you will never be handed to someone who does not know your project.
Most builds run three to six weeks depending on how much content is ready. Sites are built to WCAG 2.1 Level AA at delivery and hosted on a private server I administer, not a page builder you rent by the month. You get a straightforward one time build price plus a flat monthly for hosting, updates and support, and I quote it before you commit to anything. If a cheaper option genuinely fits you better, I will say so.
