Private School Web Design · Philadelphia, PA

Philadelphia Private School organizations deserve a site that signals credibility.

In a market with this many private schools, a slow or vague website is a decision a family makes without telling you.

Philadelphia families choosing a private school expect a website that reflects your school's values and care.

Philadelphia families are comparing you side by side

The Philadelphia area has an unusually deep bench of independent, Catholic, Friends and specialty schools. That is good for families and hard for admissions offices, because almost every inquiry you receive is from a household actively comparing you against several peers in the same week.

That comparison happens on a phone, at night, quickly. Tuition, application steps, visit dates, and a general read on whether the school is well run. A site that hides tuition, buries the inquiry form, or shows a news feed that stopped last year loses that comparison silently. You never get the email telling you why.

Many schools are also paying substantial annual fees for a bundled platform where the marketing website is the weakest component, tied to admissions and records software the office may barely use.

A site built for the family doing the comparison

Tuition and aid, stated clearly

Current, in readable text, on a page a parent can find in one move. Clarity here filters for fit and saves your office time.

A short inquiry form that converts

Few fields, works on a phone, routed to a real person, with an immediate confirmation so the family knows it landed.

Open houses and tour dates

Updated by admissions directly, because the website should never be the last place your own event appears.

Evidence of a school in motion

Recent news and photos your staff can post without help, since a stale site reads as a school with problems.

The design is built for your school specifically. Nothing I build reuses a layout, which matters when the school you are compared against most often bought from the same national vendor as everyone else.

Student data belongs in a student information system

Grades, attendance, transcripts, enrollment contracts and tuition billing are regulated records. They stay in the systems built for them: Blackbaud, Veracross or Finalsite for records, FACTS, TADS or Nelnet for billing, SSS or Clarity for aid, Parchment for transcripts.

I do not host that data and I would not advise letting any small web vendor do it. FERPA aside, the practical argument is simpler: those companies do one thing well and carry the liability for it.

What I build is the public site that links to them so smoothly a parent never sees the seam. You keep the specialist software. You stop overpaying for the brochure attached to it.

What it is like to work with one person

You are hiring one person, not an agency. I am Scott Rocca, I work out of Bridgeville just outside Pittsburgh, and I do the design, the build, the hosting and the support call myself. Nothing gets handed to a junior and nothing gets outsourced. That is the tradeoff: you will not get a 20 person team, and you will never be handed to someone who does not know your project.

Most builds run three to six weeks depending on how much content is ready. Sites are built to WCAG 2.1 Level AA at delivery and hosted on a private server I administer, not a page builder you rent by the month. You get a straightforward one time build price plus a flat monthly for hosting, updates and support, and I quote it before you commit to anything. If a cheaper option genuinely fits you better, I will say so.
