Small Business Web Design · Philadelphia, PA

Philadelphia Small Business organizations deserve a site that signals credibility.

A Philadelphia customer decides whether to call you in about forty seconds, and almost none of that is spent admiring your website.

Philadelphia small businesses grow when customers can find and trust them online.

What a Philadelphia customer is doing on your site

Somebody in Fishtown or South Philly or out on the Main Line pulls your business up on a phone. They want four things: are you open, do you do the exact thing they need, roughly what does it run, and how do I reach a person. That is the whole visit and it is over in well under a minute.

What they usually get is a page that takes too long to load on a moving train, a phone number saved inside an image so it cannot be tapped, hours that were right before the last holiday, and a contact form pointed at an inbox nobody checks. The customer does not think your site is dated. They think you might be closed, and they call whoever is next on the list.

In a city where a lot of work still comes from being the trusted local option, that is an expensive way to lose a job you would have won in ninety seconds on the phone.

A site that closes the loop fast

Tap to call on every screen

Your number as a real link, not a graphic, because on a phone the shortest path to a customer is never a form.

Hours and service area kept true

Holiday exceptions included, editable by you in a minute. Wrong hours cost more than no hours.

Plain language about what you do

Written in the words customers actually search, not industry phrasing, so people and search engines both land correctly.

Fast on a phone on bad signal

Built light and hosted on a private server I run, not weighed down by a stack of plugins.

If you have a Google Business Profile, I make sure it and the site agree. A mismatch between the two is one of the more common and least obvious reasons a local business slides down the results.

What I will talk you out of buying

I will tell you when you do not need what you came in asking for. A tight five page site that loads fast will out earn a twenty page site nobody finishes, and it costs less to build and less to keep alive.

If you take payments, that belongs with a real payment processor rather than anything I build. If you need a full storefront with inventory and shipping rules, an established commerce platform will serve you better than a custom build, and I would rather say that than sell you the larger project.

I would rather build the right small thing and still be the person you call next year than sell you something big you resent.

What it is like to work with one person

You are hiring one person, not an agency. I am Scott Rocca, I work out of Bridgeville just outside Pittsburgh, and I do the design, the build, the hosting and the support call myself. Nothing gets handed to a junior and nothing gets outsourced. That is the tradeoff: you will not get a 20 person team, and you will never be handed to someone who does not know your project.

Most builds run three to six weeks depending on how much content is ready. Sites are built to WCAG 2.1 Level AA at delivery and hosted on a private server I administer, not a page builder you rent by the month. You get a straightforward one time build price plus a flat monthly for hosting, updates and support, and I quote it before you commit to anything. If a cheaper option genuinely fits you better, I will say so.
