Privacy Notice
Last updated: April 2026.
Who we are
Bright Presence Digital LLC is a Pennsylvania Domestic Limited Liability Company (PA file #0015384463). We design, build, and host websites for private schools, churches, nonprofits, municipalities, medical practices, and small businesses. You can reach us at scott@brightpresencedigital.com.
What we collect on this site
- Contact form submissions. Name, best way to reach you (email or phone), the package or type of help you’re asking about, organization type, and your message.
- Basic analytics. Page views, referring page, approximate region, device type. Aggregated and retained up to 24 months. See our Cookie Notice.
What we do not collect on this site
We do not collect payment card numbers, bank info, social security numbers, student records, health information, or information about children under 13 through this site. Client paperwork (invoices, agreements, DPAs) happens over email, not on this site.
How we use what you submit
- To reply to your inquiry
- To quote, propose, or scope a project
- To send occasional follow-ups related to work we’re discussing
We don’t sell your information, we don’t share it with advertisers, and we don’t use it to profile you for third-party marketing.
How long we keep it
Inquiry messages are kept for up to 18 months after the last contact, then deleted. If we end up working together, your information is retained for the duration of our engagement plus the period required by our record-keeping obligations (generally 7 years for tax and business records).
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. Email scott@brightpresencedigital.com with “Privacy request” in the subject line and we’ll honor verifiable requests within 30 days.
State-specific rights
If you are a resident of one of the following states with a comprehensive privacy statute, you have specific rights that we honor in the same manner and on the same schedule as California requests:
- California: CCPA / CPRA. See Do Not Sell / Share My Personal Information.
- Virginia: Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act (VCDPA).
- Colorado: Colorado Privacy Act (CPA).
- Connecticut: Connecticut Data Privacy Act (CTDPA).
- Utah: Utah Consumer Privacy Act (UCPA).
- Texas: Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA).
- Montana, Oregon, Delaware, Iowa, Indiana, Tennessee, New Jersey, Maryland, Kentucky: comprehensive state privacy statutes in effect or taking effect 2024–2026 (including the Maryland Online Data Privacy Act and the Kentucky Consumer Data Protection Act). Same rights, same process.
Rights generally include: knowing what categories of personal information we process, obtaining a copy, correcting inaccuracies, requesting deletion, opting out of sale / sharing for targeted advertising (we do not sell or share for advertising purposes anyway), and appealing a denial. To appeal, reply to our initial response or email the address above with “Privacy appeal.”
We do not use your information for “profiling in furtherance of decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.” We do not knowingly process sensitive personal information outside what is strictly necessary to respond to a request you initiated.
Cold email outreach
We occasionally send outbound sales emails to businesses we think would benefit from our services. Every such email includes our physical mailing address and a one-click unsubscribe link. If you were added to our outreach list and want off, either click the unsubscribe link in the email you received or use our Unsubscribe page. We honor opt-outs within 5 business days (CAN-SPAM allows 10).
Sites we host for clients
If you are visiting a website that Bright Presence Digital designs, builds, or hosts for a client (a school, church, nonprofit, municipality, medical practice, or business), what we collect about you is the same as on this site, with three precise additions:
- What we record. Page path, referring page, approximate city/region, device type, browser, OS, and a non-identifying visitor hash. No name. No email. No address. We do not run any third-party advertising tracker, marketing pixel, or cross-site cookie.
- Where it lives. Every hit is stored only on our private server (Pennsylvania-based, single-tenant). It is never shared with advertisers, never sold, and never sent to a third-party analytics provider. Nothing leaves our infrastructure.
- Who can see it. The client whose site you are visiting can see their own site’s analytics through their portal login. Bright Presence Digital staff (Scott, sole employee) can see all hosted-site analytics for operational purposes (perf monitoring, abuse detection, capacity planning).
The host site’s own privacy notice governs anything that site collects directly (forms, accounts, etc.). This notice covers only what flows through our analytics infrastructure.
Children’s privacy
This site isn’t directed at children under 13. If we find out a child submitted personal information through a form, we delete it. See Children’s Privacy Notice.
Security
This site runs over HTTPS and submissions are encrypted in transit. We use reasonable security practices and review them regularly. No system is perfectly secure, and we don’t claim it is.
Third parties
We use a small number of service providers to run the site (commercial cloud hosting, CDN, transactional email). These providers only process information as needed to deliver our services. Form submissions on this site go directly to our own server, not through a third-party form processor. We don’t sell or share your information with advertisers.
Changes to this notice
We’ll update this notice when our practices change. Material changes are announced by updating the “Last updated” date and, for significant changes, by a notice on the home page for at least 14 days.
