Privacy Notice

Last updated: August 2026.

In plain English We’re a small, one-person LLC. When you fill out a form on this site, your info comes to Scott Rocca. We don’t sell it, we don’t share it with advertisers, and we don’t add you to a newsletter unless you ask. We keep it. Not for a set number of months, and not until some clock runs out: we keep our business records for as long as we’re in business. If you’d rather we didn’t keep yours, ask and we’ll remove it.

Who we are

Bright Presence Digital LLC is a Pennsylvania Domestic Limited Liability Company (PA file #0015384463). We design, build, and host websites for private schools, churches, nonprofits, municipalities, medical practices, and small businesses. You can reach us at scott@brightpresencedigital.com.

What we collect on this site

What we do not collect on this site

We do not collect payment card numbers, bank info, social security numbers, student records, health information, or information about children under 13 through this site. Client paperwork (invoices, agreements, DPAs) happens over email, not on this site.

How we use what you submit

We don’t sell your information, we don’t share it with advertisers, and we don’t use it to profile you for third-party marketing.

How long we keep it

Mostly indefinitely, and on purpose. Inquiry messages, project files and correspondence stay on file for as long as Bright Presence Digital operates. Raw analytics are the exception: individual page-view records are deleted after twelve months, and only aggregate totals are kept beyond that. We don’t run a deletion schedule and we don’t want to: a small business that discards its own history loses the ability to answer questions about its own work, and nothing about forgetting that you once wrote to us is of any use to you.

Records we’re legally required to hold, such as tax and business records, are kept at least as long as the law requires (generally 7 years). Everything else is kept because it’s ours to keep, not because a rule says so.

This doesn’t override your rights below. If you ask us to delete your information, we will.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. Email scott@brightpresencedigital.com with “Privacy request” in the subject line and we’ll honor verifiable requests within 30 days.

State-specific rights

If you are a resident of one of the following states with a comprehensive privacy statute, you have specific rights that we honor in the same manner and on the same schedule as California requests:

Rights generally include: knowing what categories of personal information we process, obtaining a copy, correcting inaccuracies, requesting deletion, opting out of sale / sharing for targeted advertising (we do not sell or share for advertising purposes anyway), and appealing a denial. To appeal, reply to our initial response or email the address above with “Privacy appeal.”

We do not use your information for “profiling in furtherance of decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.” We do not knowingly process sensitive personal information outside what is strictly necessary to respond to a request you initiated.

Cold email outreach

We occasionally send outbound sales emails to businesses we think would benefit from our services. Every such email includes our physical mailing address and a one-click unsubscribe link. If you were added to our outreach list and want off, either click the unsubscribe link in the email you received or use our Unsubscribe page. We honor opt-outs within 5 business days (CAN-SPAM allows 10).

Sites we host for clients

If you are visiting a website that Bright Presence Digital designs, builds, or hosts for a client (a school, church, nonprofit, municipality, medical practice, or business), what we collect about you is the same as on this site, with three precise additions:

The host site’s own privacy notice governs anything that site collects directly (forms, accounts, etc.). This notice covers only what flows through our analytics infrastructure.

Children’s privacy

This site isn’t directed at children under 13. If we find out a child submitted personal information through a form, we delete it. See Children’s Privacy Notice.

Security

This site runs over HTTPS and submissions are encrypted in transit. We use reasonable security practices and review them regularly. No system is perfectly secure, and we don’t claim it is.

Third parties

We use a small number of service providers to run the site (commercial cloud hosting, CDN, transactional email). These providers only process information as needed to deliver our services. Form submissions on this site go directly to our own server, not through a third-party form processor. We don’t sell or share your information with advertisers.

Changes to this notice

We’ll update this notice when our practices change. Material changes are announced by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
